Brady Cox

Dr. Cox is an Associate Professor in the Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of Texas at Austin. He specializes in geotechnical earthquake engineering issues such as soil liquefaction, site response, seismic microzonation and dynamic site characterization. Much of his current research is focused on non-intrusive subsurface imaging, including quantification and propagation of uncertainty in shear wave velocity derived from surface wave methods into realistic site response estimates. For these efforts, he has received the prestigious Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award from the U.S. National Science Foundation and the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientist and Engineers (PECASE) from the President of the United States.
